Andrew T. Cobb, PhD, CCE;
Intellectual Property Expert
Mr. Cobb has over 15 years experience in the electrical engineering technology field, with special expertise in computer science and engineering. Specific expertise includes discovery of electronic documents; computer forensics; the preservation, identification, extraction, documentation, and interpretation of computer data; software analysis; Java programming; Web Application Modeling (UML); Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD); Unified Process Methodology; ontology; object-oriented software measurement; defect identification and management; technology disputes; software architecture, process, and quality; security auditing; secure programming; web usability; quality assurance; backup/recovery and maintenance; TCP/IP-based applications; web development; Rational Unified Process (RUP); analog and digital electronics; electrical power and machinery; computer programming; electrical controls; medical imaging research; and embedded controllers.

Gerald S. Cole;
Certified Latent Print Examiner
Mr. Cole has more than 50 years’ experience as a Latent Print Examiner.  His experience and expertise includes comparison and identification of fingerprint impressions; training; international technical assistance; crime scenes; AFIS computer database; Life Scan computer; counterfeit documents; laboratory reports; and photography laboratory. 

Gerry is certified by the International Association for Identification.  He has given professional instruction and training to police, governmental, legal, and private organizations, both nationally and internationally.
John W. Hargett, III
Forensic Document Examiner

Mr. Hargett has more than 35 years experience as a document examiner, including identification of handwriting, signatures, and hand printing; determination as to the sequence of preparation of documents or parts of documents; analysis of other features of documents that may provide information of evidentiary value.   

John is a member of the Forensic Science Society and the International Association for Identification.  He has been a Diplomat for the American Board of Forensic Document Examiners since 1980, and is certified with the US Secret Service.   He has represented the United States abroad in numerous matters regarding questioned documents, including a questioned treaty at the International Tribunal, the Hague, Netherlands.

Timothy Opsitnick
Intellectual Property Expert
Mr. Opsitnick has over 30 years’ experience as an Attorney and Intellectual Property Professional.  His experience and expertise includes electronic risk management; electronic document discovery; document management systems; electronic data warehousing; electronic data processing; internet document discovery; computer forensics; electronic technologies; and internet web site development.

Tim’s Professional Associations include George University Law Center Continuing Legal Education Advisory Board; Cleveland Downtown Tech 25; American Bar Association; International Bar Association; Ohio State Bar Association; Cleveland Bar Association; ARMA International; and InfraGard.  Tim has also conducted numerous CLE seminars around the country regarding electronic discovery and other technologies issues, including electronic document retention and production.
Edward John Primeau, RI
Audio and Video Expert
Mr. Primeau has over 35 years of experience in audio and video engineering and recording; background noise removal/sound clarification; voice identification; audio recording authentication; micro cassette transfers to any format audio; audio conversion to compact disc or any format; video authentication and restoration; video image clarification; frame capture from video; video conversion to DVD or any format; CD ROM and DVD design and programming; and acetate and vinyl restoration.

Edward is a Certified Video Expert and and ACFEI Registered Investigator (RI). He is a member, past or present, of The International Association for Identification; The Audio Engineering Society; The American College of Forensic Examiners; The Law Enforcement/Emergency Services Video Association; and The American Society of Information.
David A. Smith
Audio Expert
Mr. Smith has over 25 years of experience in audio engineering, recording, and broadcasting; analog and digital audio analyses; speech comprehension enhancement; tape authentication techniques; computerized analysis and recovery; digital signal processing; MIDI implementation; voice recognition technology; and diagnostic platforms.

David is a member of The Audio Engineering Society; The American College of Forensic Examiners; and The International Society of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
Scott M. Yano, PE
Electrical and Medical Equipment Expert
Mr. Yano has experience in designing, developing, and operating advanced diagnostic medical equipment. His work has included developing medical equipment requirements and specifications and demonstrating equipment performance.

Scott’s experience includes the design, installation, and operation of power supplies; electronic wiring schematics; and instrumentation and control equipment. He performs software programming; evaluates wireless (RF) and sound controlled equipment performance; and is involved in determining the effects of electromagnetic fields on equipment and personnel. 

Scott is a member of IEEE (Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineers), Antennas and Propagation, Vehicular Technology, and Communication Societies.
